Nashville, TN – The Nashville Outlaws baseball team was
introduced today as the newest members of The Prospect
League to begin play this summer. The Outlaws take the field
in June and will play 56 games through August which, 28
games will be played in Nashville. The Outlaws home games
will be played at Hawkins Field on the campus of Vanderbilt
University.
The team is owned by Nashville Baseball Club LLC, which
consists of three Nashville baseball executives, Brandon
Vonderharr, Jason Bennett, and Chris Snyder who collectively
have entertained more than 3.5 million baseball fans in the
Nashville community over the past decade.
“We are excited to bring the Prospect League to Nashville.
Major League Scouts and College prospects value the Prospect
League as a way to showcase college talent using traditional
wood bats. It is an entertaining brand of baseball that the
community will enjoy in the fan-friendly venue of Hawkins
Field. ” said Brandon Vonderharr the Nashville Outlaws
President and General Manager.
The Nashville Outlaws name is a tribute to Nashville’s music
community and specifically the country artists that forged
their own path and developed their own sound that resonated
with the public.
The Prospect League, formerly known as the Central Illinois
Collegiate League (CICL), has roots dating back to 1963 and
has showcased Major League stars like Mike Schmidt, Kirby
Puckett, Ryan Howard, and Jonathan Papelbon. With its
family-oriented promotions and affordable ticket prices, The
Prospect League is one of the fastest growing and most
recognized summer baseball leagues in the country. Team
rosters are comprised solely of players who have completed
one year of college and who still have college eligibility
remaining.
