JACK CLARK BOBBLEHEADS TONIGHT
SPRINGFIELD, IL - July 20 - Be one of the first 500 fans to
come into Robin Roberts Stadium tonight as the Sliders take
on the Danville Dans at 6:35pm and receive a bobblehead of
the Sliders field manager and former St. Louis Cardinals
great Jack Clark presented by the Springfield Park District!
VAUGHN FINISHES 2ND IN HR
DERBY
SPRINGFIELD, IL - July 15 - Though he wasn't an All-Star,
Springfield's Denny Vaughn (Bowling Green State)
participated in the 2009 Prospect League Home Run Derby that
took place before the All-Star Game last Wednesday at Robin
Roberts Stadium. He battled it out with Richmond's
Tyler Bullock in the final round, which ended in multiple 3
out "swing offs" to determine the winner. Bullock
ended up winning the derby, but Vaughn represented the
Sliders well with his 2nd place finish.
WEST WINS FIRST ALL-STAR
GAME
SPRINGFIELD, IL – The top players from both the Prospect
League West and East divisions squared off Wednesday night
for the first ever Prospect League All-Star Game hosted by
the Springfield Sliders. The West All-stars came out on top
7-4 in front of over 3,100 fans at Robin Roberts Stadium.
