SPRINGFIELD, IL – July 15, 2008 –
The Springfield Sliders
defeated the DuPage Dragons 4-3 in 11 innings. Tyler Choate
scored the winning run and was the winning pitcher in the
Sliders 26th win of the season. Bo Kinder drove a single up
the middle past a drawn in infield to seal the victory for
Springfield. Kinder had two hits on the night. Ryan
Mooney, Jimmy Swift, Tyler Choate and Vicente Cafaro also
had multiple-hit performances for Springfield.
For the Dragons, Justin Wilson and Kevin Tokarski had two
hits apiece. Tokarski launched a triple into right
centerfield in the 4th inning. DuPage's starting pitcher
Ryan Copeland threw well for the Dragons. He threw 7
innings, struck out 5 and walked none.
The Sliders travel to Danville tomorrow while DuPage is
idle.
Thursday is Logo Baseball Giveaway. The First 500 fans will
receive a free logo ball. The will Sliders host the Dubois
County Bombers.
